About

Hi I’m Kelly, I’m an Oxford based pastry chef, cake decorator and cookery tutor.

I have been cooking professionally for over 10 years, having trained at Aylesbury College, gaining an NVQ Level 3 in Patisserie and Confectionary.

I have previously worked as a pastry chef and also as a head chef. I currently work at the award winning WI Cookery School at Denman College as ‘Cookery School Chef Manager’ where I am also a baking and patisserie tutor. I was a finalist in the 2014 British Cookery School awards in the ‘Best Young Rising Star’ category.

I’ve featured in various slots on BBC Radio Oxford and have been lucky enough to work with some incredibly talented and celebrated chefs, including Mary Berry, Raymond Blanc, Jean Christophe Novelli, Edd Kimber, John Whaite, Lotte Duncan, Jane Hornby, Stacie Stewart, Jo Pratt and Alex Mackay. I have also had my own recipe features including food styling in WI Life magazine and have assisted in photo shoots for Waitrose Magazine and Good Food Magazine.

When I’m not at the cookery school I juggle various freelance opportunities, including baking and decorating bespoke cakes, petits fours and patisseries, catering for events and cookery demonstrations at local food festivals.
